Capstone Collection:
In creating Sincerely, Jeffrey Campbell, our goal is to create a line of occasion dresses for women to pair with their new pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Our line is unique, young, ultra feminine, and sure to turn heads.
fabric shopping
We went fabric shopping at Fine Fabrics in Atlanta, GA.
I purchased 7 yards of both my fabrics and 5 yards of lining.
pattern making
Once we measured our models we made skirt, bodice, and sleeve patterns depending on what designs we were making. For my first design I did a puff sleeve and mini dress with a low cut front. My second design is a drop waist with ruffled skirt and strapless top.
basic sloper fittings
Once we measured our models we had to make patterns based on those measurements. We did this to ensure the fit of the garment. After the fittings we went back to the patterns and made corrections.
prototypes
Before completing our final garment we made prototypes out of our actual fabric. We did this so we could see what our designs would look like in the fabric and to see what changes need to be made.
